My name is Danette. My husband, Scott, and I started Life Garden out of our passion for growing our own food and living more sustainably. We’ve learned that gardening is about so much more than plants—it’s about community, connection, and creating a more abundant life. It is our passion to help others find joy in their own gardens, and to help them involve their children. We live on a farm in the Winelands of South Africa where we grow as much as we can and process as much as possible from our surplus to use later in the year. We are home-schooling our son and see how valuable it is for his growth and development to be in the garden with us. We see how valuable this can be for others, too! We started out with a blank canvas and every year we learn and grow with our garden. It is our dream to have a community for anyone who wants to create their own garden space and where they can connect with nature and with other people. We want to see other children enjoying the same learning benefits that our son has every day. We hope this will inspire you to join us on this amazing journey!
